Latinoware has over 4000 registrations

The conference is set to run from the 19th to the 21st of this month, at the PTI.


Over 4000 people, from all over Brazil, have registered to take part at the 13th Latin American Free Software Conference - Latinoware, to be staged from October 19 to 21 at the Itaipu Technology Park (ITP), in Foz do Iguaçu. Latinoware brings together specialists, researchers, students and professors to debate the evolution of open technologies and their application in different areas.


Security, databases, georeferencing, robotics, network and infrastructure administration, programming languages, as well as applications in education, entrepreneurism and businesses are some examples of the themes at the 2016 edition. The program includes over 150 talks, mini-courses and workshops.


Each year, one of the most anticipated moments of the event is talk by the keynote speaker, the director of Linux International, Jon Maddog Hall, one of the world's leading free software enthusiasts. The talk is scheduled for the 19th, at 10 AM.


Latinoware is an incentive by Itaipu Technology Park and Itaipu Binacional. Enrollment cost BRL 140.00 and can be completed on the website or during the event.
